Born Learning Trail opens at East End

This April the Born Learning Trail opened in Lexington, Kentucky with excited crowds taking part. The trail, a symbol of the communities’ commitment to children, provides a set of fun activities that help kids develop problem solving, critical thinking and reading skills. This trail is the first of its kind in Kentucky and continues the momentum of the East End Small Area Plan developed by EHI Consultants, Urban Collage and Wilbur Smith & Associates.

Principal featured in Georgia Tech’s architecture centennial lecture series

Principal Bob Begle was one of six distinguished practitioners who participated in a lecture and panel discussion highlighting the way in which alumni of the College of Architecture and City Planning have transformed Atlanta over the past 15 years.  In particular, the panel focused on the emergence of “urban design” as a profession in Atlanta and its corresponding rise in prominence in the College.

ARC’s Livable Center’s Initiative receives 2nd national award

The American Planning Association (APA) recently announced it will present the National Planning Excellence Award for Implementation to the ARC’s Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) program. Urban Collage is proud to be a part of the program through our completion of 24 LCI documents since 2000 when the study portion of the program was established.
