On the heels of completing the North Point LCI Plan (2008) and Blueprint North Fulton (2009), the City of Alpharetta and North Fulton CID have teamed with the Atlanta Regional Commission to fund a $10 Million upgrade to the Encore Parkway corridor in Alpharetta, Georgia. Currently a second connection over GA 400, Encore Parkway is envisioned to be a dynamic, walkable center connecting Encore Park and the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater to the North Point commercial district and future transit service connecting the Activity Center to other metro Atlanta business districts and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
The $10 Million project includes replacement of the Encore Parkway bridge over GA 400 and new sidewalks, lighting and bicycle trails from the Big Creek Greenway and North Point Parkway to Westside Parkway.
